What is happening to further equality in the Northeast Missouri region?

PROMO currently is working actively to reach out to even more equality supporters and coalition partners in the area. We continue to educate individuals in the region around issues of equality for the LGBT community of Missouri, giving lectures and presentations throughout the community.

Many individuals and organizations look to PROMO as a resource, including the students and faculty of Truman State University in their campaign to extend partner benefits to LGBT staff and faculty.

PROMO also actively works to build and grow its base of equality supporters throughout the entire region. PROMO is Missouri's statewide organization advocating for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender equality through legislative action, electoral politics, grassroots organizing, and community education. We identify LGBT rights supporters, educate them on the issues, give them the tools and the confidence to participate in the political process, and get results. PROMO's goals are to help LGBT Missourians create a supportive and visible community, become active in the democratic process, and work for their equal protection under the law. We build community awareness and grassroots support for LGBT equality and increase civic participation of LGBT Missourians.
